About the Tree of Life Grant
The Tree of Life Grant is designed to alleviate some of the financial and emotional stress created by infertility, to raise awareness about infertility while providing support and eliminating any negative stigma, and to celebrate the gift of life. This grant is in partnership with Fertility Foundation of Texas but is designated specifically for Jewish couples who need to undergo IVF treatment.
Awards of up to $10,000 will be given to Central Texas residents and can be used toward fertility treatment through any SART (Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies) clinic in the United States. Payments will be made directly to the provider on behalf of the patient. **Grant dollars can be applied toward embryology services, medications, laboratory services, and hospital or facility fees. No grant dollars can be applied toward physician services.
Grant Process
Applications are reviewed and selected by the Board of Fertility Foundation of Texas, in consultation with its Advisory Board. Applicants are asked to provide a physical copy the following:
1) A completed Grant Application with all supporting documentation
2) The Physician's Treatment Form with Physician's signature
ALL APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE COMPLETED WITH SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION AND SENT via United States Postal Service TO THE ADDRESS BELOW. We do not accept electronically filed applications. ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED IN WRITING OR VIA EMAIL WHETHER THEY ARE AWARDED GRANT FUNDS.

Grant Requirements
1) Be Jewish. For purposes of this grant, Jewish is defined as having at least one Jewish parent from birth or conversion, with the intent of raising your child with Jewish values.
2) Be Central Texas residents; Central Texas spans from San Antonio to Waco (north south) and from Mason County to Brazos County (east west). For more info, click here.
3) Demonstrate financial need based on a total household income below $150,000/year.
4) Be uninsured for fertility treatment OR have exhausted infertility coverage.
5) Be evaluated by, and under the care of, a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who has diagnosed your cause of infertility and has prescribed a treatment plan.
6) Receive treatments at a SART member clinic (Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies is an affiliated society to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine).
7) Applicants with primary infertility (having no other living children) and under the age of 40 (due to the significant statistical decrease in ovarian reserve) will be given priority.
